Ms. Makle joined the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency in November, 2006. She currently serves as the Chief Administration Officer. In this capacity, Ms. Makle serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Agency and manages the day to day operations. She has over 35 years of housing finance experience, including 19 years of management with nationally recognized state housing finance agencies. Ms. Makle has extensive experience in mortgage lending for both single-family and multifamily housing.
Previously, Ms. Makle served as the Program Director for the Arundel Community Development Service. She successfully ran the Anne Arundel County-wide Single Family Rehabilitation Program and the County’s Down Payment & Closing Cost Programs.
Ms. Makle also served as the Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Community Development Administration at the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. In her roles at Maryland DHCD, Ms. Makle was instrumental in the development and implementation of three consecutive Single Family award-winning housing programs.
Ms. Makle has completed the Executive Leadership Institute Program with the National Forum for Black Public Administrators. She has also received certification in Housing Finance Development from the University of Maryland, School of Public Affairs and studied Business and Public Administration at Charles Community College.
